RABBI GEDALIAH FLEER
|
|
Rabbi Gedaliah Fleer is acknowledged by the Encyclopedia Judaica as one of today’s leading authorities on Jewish Mysticism and the teachings of the Chassidic Master, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov. Born in New York in 1940, Rabbi Fleer studied at the Navordoc Yeshiva, the Mirer Yeshiva, and Yeshiva Torah V’Daat. He received his rabbinic ordination at the Yeshivat Chasidei Breslov in Jerusalem. Rabbi Fleer was the first person from the West to travel to the former Soviet Union to visit the grave of Rebbe Nachman, a pilgrimage now made by thousands every year at Rosh Hashanah. He is the author of two books on Rebbe Nachman and several articles. Rabbi Fleer teaches and counsels in the Old City of Jerusalem.
